For the past two, our parish community has participated in special fundraisers during Advent and Lent to support AVSI. The money raised during these fundraisers, benefited Crescemos, a project of AVSI. Crescemos, is a community based organization that provides 500 children with afterschool programs in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Many of you participated in past fundraisers for Crecemos, and we are delighted to met them and learn more about the work they are doing. You will have two opportunites:
Saturday, October 1, following the 4:00 p.m. Mass, for a short presentation and wine and cheese reception.
Sunday, October 2, following the 10:00 a.m. Mass for coffee, donuts and a paint by number activity that is kid friendly!
There will be a donation box if people want to contribute to AVSI. All proceeds will directly support the children at Crecemos.
