Please be advised that someone who attended services this weekend (April 23 and 24) at Sacred Heart Parish, has subsequently been diagnosed with COVID-19. We ask those who were in attended services this weekend to monitor their health and if symptons develop to get tested.
The St. Anthony Spaghetti Dinner has been a long-standing tradition of our parish, and a popular event within the East Boston community. This year, we will celebrate the Feast of St. Anthony on Monday, June 13, with a Mass, Procession with wth the St. Anthony statue, and dinner in the Parish Hall. We do hope you will join us as we celebrate the life of St. Anthony. We invite you to participate in the one or all of the activies below:
Sacred Heart Parish will host its second annual Parish Hiking Outing on Saturday, May 21. We plan to leave Sacred Heart following the 8:00 a.m. Mass. Last year, parishioners and friends joined Fr. Paolo and Fr. Luis for a fun day of hiking to Mount Wachusett in Princeton, Massachusetts. More details will be posted soon, so please reserve the date in your calendar.
Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in East Boston will host the International Exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles from February 5 to February 13, 2022 in its parish hall at 303 Paris Street, East Boston, Massachusetts. The International Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit is a traveling display designed by Blessed Carlo Acutis.
We have completed the restoration of the confessional in our church. The project restoration was made possible by a generous donor to acknowledge one of our most devoted and committed parishioners, Teresa Basile. All are invited to attend a ceremony of blessing and dedication of the new confessional which will take place on Sunday, January 30th at 10:45 am, right after the 10:00 a.m. liturgy. All are invited to a gathering in the parish hall following the blessing.
U.S. Bishops have established January 22, the anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision, as a day of prayer and penance “for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion, and of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life." Join us for a holy hour of life, forgiveness, and healing on Saturday, January 22, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Please be advised that Sacred Heart Parish received a report that someone who attended that 4:00 pm Vigil Mass service on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021 was subsequently diagnosed with COVID-19. We have notified the Boston Board of Health. We have also cleaned and disinfected all the spaces used during the service.
Join us on Saturday, November 20 for our traditional Christmas Bazaar. The day begins at 11:00 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and photos with Santa Claus. The Bazaar officially opens at noon. Enjoy delicious food, raffles, toy game, second-hand treasures, Christmas items and vendor tables with handmade items for sale.

What is faith? This fall, we begin in a new series entitled, "Growing in Faith". Join us as we discuss the meaning of faith, how we come to have faith in something, and how we grow our faith.

Bible Study classes have resumed! Join us as we examine The Book of Psalms from the Old Testament with Fr. Michele Benetti. Classes meet Fridays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
We have raised $28,725 or 66% of our fundraising goal for the Annual Grand Collection. The Grand Annual Collection covers the building maintenance needs of the parish. Thank you for your generosity and continuous support of our Parish.
