Father Paolo was born in Trieste, Italy in 1973. His early education and college education was spent in his hometown. In college, he studied math. After graduating from college in 1997, he joined the seminary of the Fraternity of St. Charles Borromeo in Rome. He was ordained a deacon in June 2001 and assigned to the mission of the Fraternity of St. Charles Borromeo in Taiwan. While in Taiwan, he learned Mandarin Chinese and helped out at a local church.
In 2002, he was ordained a priest and became a lecturer at the Department of Italian Studies at Fu Jen Catholic Univeristy in Taipei, Taiwan. During his years a missionary in Taiwan, Father Paolo served as Parochial Vicar at St. Frances Xavier Parish in Taishan, Taiwan.
After ten years in Taiwan, Father Paolo was assigned to the mission of the Fraternity of St. Charles Borromeo in Boston. He arrived in Boston at the beginning of 2021 and taught math and religion at Cristo Rey High School in Dorchester.
In June 2013, Cardinal Sean O'Malley entrusted the pastoral care of St. Clement Parish in Medford to the Fraternity of St. Charles Borromeo. Father Paolo moved to St. Clement's where he served as Parochial Vicar. He taught math and religion at St. Clement's High School for four years. In June 2017, Father Paolo served as Parochial Vicar at the Beverly Catholic Collaborative. In 2018, he was appointed Chaplain at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Voyage in the Seaport district of South Boston. In August of 2020, he was appointed Administrator of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in East Boston.
